BHOPAL: Lokayukta trapped a police constable Mulchand Dwivedi of MP Nagar police station red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 6,000 at District and Sessions Court campus on Thursday.
Mulchand Dwivedi was found guilty of accepting bribe through his friend Mahendra Mahto who is waiter in a hotel. Both have been booked.
Vinay David, who runs a printing shop in the city was a charge under Negotiable Instrument Act. He was fined and warrant was issued from court. He had appeared in the court and even got the warrant cancelled.
In the meantime, police executed the warrant and brought David to court. He was in touch with police constable. David had called Mulchand in Surendra Villas Hotel but Mulchand did not respond.
But Mulchand accepted money through his friend Mahendra Mahto who is waiter in hotel at gate no- 2 in court campus. Lokayukta laid the trap and caught the waiter red handed.
